Board of Directors

The private nonprofit eligible entity [Ozark Opportunities, Inc.] shall administer the Community Services Block Grant Program through a tripartite board that fully participates in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program to serve low-income communities. The board shall be composed so as to assure that:

  1. elected public officials or their permanent representatives shall comprise one-third of the board;
  2. representatives of low-income persons shall comprise at least one-third of the board;
  3. representatives of business, industry, labor, religious, law enforcement, education or other major groups and interest in the community shall comprise the remainder of the board.

We encourage all new Board of Director members to review an orientation about Ozark Opportunities, Inc. The orientation includes the history of Community Action and Ozark Opportunities, Inc. along with roles and responsibilities of Board Members.
